About Dr. Taha Anbara
Dr. Taha Anbara is a multidisciplinary surgeon whose career spans bariatric and laparoscopic surgery, breast and aesthetic procedures, and the long-term medical management of obesity and metabolic disease.
Beginning his medical education at Tehran University, he pursued advanced surgical training at several of the world’s leading institutions — Harvard Medical School, Yale School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins (obesity systems certification), and the University of Copenhagen (diabetes management) — building a practice grounded in both technical excellence and a human-centric standard of care.
He has served as Head of Surgery at internationally prestigious hospitals and is an active member of IFSO (the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders), regularly contributing to peer-reviewed scientific journals in the field.
